I’m Scott Reinhart — one of the owners of Backroad Nation, alongside my good friends Scott Kilde and Todd Adams. While this brand is something we’ve built together, the heart of it comes from my personal story — one rooted in faith, hard work, and the backroads of Northern Minnesota.

I grew up on a dairy farm just outside of Crookston. Life there was simple and honest — chores before sunrise, meals around the kitchen table, and weekends spent on gravel roads. When I was 12, my world was flipped upside down when my dad passed away from a sudden heart attack. From that moment on, I learned the meaning of responsibility and perseverance in a way most kids never experience.

Through my teenage years, I worked countless farm jobs — milking cows, moving irrigation pipe, working harvests — all while battling a serious stuttering problem. It made speaking in public a challenge, but I never let it stop me. By the time I was 25, while in college, I’d made major progress — learning to speak confidently and clearly, finally finding my voice.

In 2002, I launched an entertainment magazine called The Valley Buzz, followed by The Wedding Bliss. Then in 2007, I created the Extreme Saver coupon book fundraiser — a tool to help local schools and nonprofits raise money. That program is still going today and continues to bring value to communities.

Then 2020 hit. COVID shut our business down by 90%. It was a tough season — but I refused to give up. I pivoted, bought a laser machine, and began crafting custom patch hats, water bottles, and other high-quality goods. From that creative spark, Backroad Nation was born — a brand built around the small-town lifestyle we live and love.

In June 2024, while connecting with local businesses for the coupon book, I kept hearing the same thing: “We can’t find or keep employees.” I knew there had to be a way to help. That’s when I started Integrity Advantage Group — offering affordable, flexible benefit insurance solutions to help businesses attract and retain quality workers. Once again, it was about helping people — just in a different way.

Then, on April 24, 2025, life changed forever.
I suffered a massive heart attack. My doctor shocked me back to life 20 times — I was clinically dead for 20 minutes. By the grace of God, I survived with no brain damage and walked out of the hospital in just two days. I shouldn’t be here — but I am. And I know I’ve been given a second chance for a reason.

Backroad Nation is part of that reason.

It’s not just a store or a brand — it’s a lifestyle. A tribute to the people who make America strong: farmers, families, small-town business owners, and folks who still wave when they pass you on the road.
